Substance Use Prevention in the Early High School Years

This five-part curriculum gives students the tools they need to make positive decisions for a healthy future. The evidence-based video and print resources build resiliency and [drive] to resist using alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, heroin, prescription-drugs and other substances. Our program, initially vetted and listed in the National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs and Practices (NREPP) by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), is currently listed on the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports Registry of Evidence-Based Programs and Strategies for Prevention Practices as well as in the Evidence-Based Program Guidance for Substance Use Prevention Education in Schools December 2020 document, developed by The New York State Education Department and The New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports.
